  • Job Responsibilities:
  • 40% Performs professional duties in Implementing the individual Reimbursement for Care Program. Interviews parents, responsible relatives, guardians, and attorneys of admitted individuals to ascertain financial circumstances and ability to pay for individuals’ care.
  • 20% Utilizing the state’s computerized accounting system, monitors schedule reimbursement payments from responsible individuals and agencies.
  • 20% Maintains reimbursement files and coordinates aspects of reimbursement services with other facility offices and community care programs.
  • 5% Processes applications for public and private sources of funding for individual care, such as for Social Security Benefits, Healthcare and Familyy Services [HFS) Insurance coverage and pension funds.
  • 5% Completes and files tax relief forms for eligible individuals.
  • 5% Prepares receipts for checks and monies received from Trust Fund Accounts and maintains financial records for individuals. 5% 7. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, with courses in accounting, economics, or business administration, preferably including courses in insurance, estate, and probate law.
