Boot Camp is an intensive four-day series of workshops, packed with the latest information on conducting an effective job search. All sessions run from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

DAY 1 – STARTING THE SEARCH
Learn how to find openings and identify your skills and experiences to match the job.
DAY 2 – RESUMES & APPLICANT TRACKING SYSTEMS
Learn the effective components of a resume for applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn for your job search and the importance of a cover letter.
DAY 3 – MAKING CONNECTIONS & INTERVIEW PREPARATION
The components of effective communication, networking, informational interviewing, and how to succeed in phone and in-person interviews.
DAY 4 – THE “INTERVIEW”
Learn what employers look for during an interview, types of questions, developing answers for behavioral interviews, and what you should ask employers.

To get this job, you typically need a Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with electrical, hydraulics, programming, and mechanical PLCs is required.
We pay $2.00 per hour shift differential for all time worked on 3rd shift. *Rate of pay depends on one’s experience, education, and skills.

All Technicians are sent to College of DuPage for classes. Technicians are scheduled for a series of six mechanical and six electrical classes. Classes are during work hours, so Technicians are paid for their time in class. We adjust their hours to spend half their shift on the floor and the balance in the class. Jel Sert pays for this training which includes classroom and lab work. All Technicians are involved in this training despite their experience level.
