PUBLIC NOTICE - February 2017

ATTENTION:

LOCAL ELECTED OFFICIALS, BUSINESS REPRESENTATIVES, LABOR ORGANIZATIONS, EDUCATORS, VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION AGENCIES, COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATIONS, AND OTHER INTERESTED PARTIES:

Pursuant to the requirements of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) of 2014, Public Law 113-128, as amended, the DuPage Workforce Board, is presenting notice of a Request for Proposal for a One-Stop Operator at the DuPage County One-Stop Center, called workNet DuPage Career Center, located at 2525 Cabot Drive, Suite 302, Lisle, IL. The role of the Operator is to: coordinate One-Stop Partners and service providers; coordinate and track partner agency referrals and develop a reporting process for ongoing tracking of performance and referrals; regularly convene the One-Stop partners to assess customer/client needs and continuous improvement processes; coordinate One-Stop operation including accessibility, maintenance needs, and materials; report on activities and outcomes at monthly DuPage Workforce Board meetings; perform other reasonable activities as assigned by the DuPage Workforce Board.

The one-stop operator must be an entity (public, private or non-profit) or a consortium of entities (at minimum three or more of the required one-stop partners in the local area.)

Entities may include: Government agencies or government units such as Local or county governments, school districts, state agencies and federal WIOA partners; Employment Service state agencies under the Wagner-Peyser Act; Indian Tribes, tribal organizations, Alaskan Native entities, Indian controlled organizations serving Indians, or Native Hawaiian organizations; Educational institutions, such as: institutions of higher education, nontraditional public secondary schools such as night schools, the area career and technical education schools; (elementary and other secondary schools not eligible); Community-based organizations, non-profit entities or workforce intermediaries; Other interested organizations that are capable of carrying out the duties of the one-stop operator, such as a local chamber of commerce, other business organization, or labor organization; Private for-profit entities;

Information regarding the Request for Proposal can be obtained as of February 27, 2017 at www.dupageworkforceboard.com until the deadline for submission on March 27, 2017.

Pursuant to the requirements of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) of 2014, Public Law 113-128, as amended, the DuPage Workforce Board, is presenting notice of opportunity to comment on the DuPage County Local Plan for a 30 day period. The Plan can be found at www.worknetdupage.org as of March 17th, 2017 or at the workNet DuPage Career Center, 2525 Cabot Drive, Suite 302, Lisle, IL between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
