Trade Act - Certification and Petitions

The first step to receiving Trade Act benefits and services is to submit a petition to the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). Petitions may be submitted by:

Three or more workers in the same firm or subdivision; or

The workers’ employer; or

A union official or other duly authorized representative of such workers.
