Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. For some reason, it never got caught up in the commercial shuffle. To me, it is pure. It is a time for the simpler pleasures of family and friends, and the old-fashioned sharing of a meal. Most importantly, it is a time for reflecting on those things for which we are thankful.

On Veterans Day, we honor the fallen and the living veterans who have put their lives on the line for this country and for the freedoms we enjoy.

Being an Army veteran myself, I would like to share my thoughts about:
